Making your own hair bows can be a fun project to do with children and it can be much cheaper than purchasing new hair bows every time one is needed. This easy to do project requires simple supplies and takes only a short time to accomplish. This process also allows one to be very creative and express true individuality.
Supplies you will need for making Hair Bows
Supplies: length of Ribbon, this length can be any amount
Hair clip, tie, or headband
Hot Glue Gun
Step by Step Instructions for Making Hair Bows
1. Take the ribbon and fold it into a bow shape, adding a touch of hot glue to hold it in place. This bow can be any type, from the normal rabbit eared bow to the complex loop bow. To hold the bow while tying, a small alligator clip can be used on the center of the bow.
2. Set aside the ribbon for future use.
3. Clean the hair clip of choice of all other frills that you do not want on it. Mark where you want the ribbon to go with a marker of some type.
4. Carefully use the hot glue gun to glue the ribbon onto the hairpiece, as you would wish it.
5. Allow the glue to dry before wearing it.
6. And you are all set for a beautiful hair bow!!
