Seventies Hairstyles
The 1970’s was an era where a lot of revolutionary changes were starting to arise. Out of those revolutionary changes, hairstyles was one of them. The seventies hairstyles were very different and versatile, the invention of the blow dryer came into play, and so a lot of long sleek and straight looks were worn. Other defined looks that were popular during the seventies includes the 70s shag haircuts, the page boy, the feathered hair style and the mullet.
1970’s Shag Haircuts
The shag haircut was a short hairstyle consisting of layers at the bottom of the head as well as the top of the head, along with full bangs, however bangs is optional when wearing this shag hairstyle.
The Page Boy Hairstyles from the Seventies
The page boy was a very classic 70’s look that is still worn today by celebrities like Gwen Stefani, and other women that are looking for a great formal hairstyle.
The seventies page boy is a simple hairstyle, where straight hair hangs down to just below the ear and than it is turned over into a soft curl at the ends, and is usually accented with bangs in the front of the head.

Me too, I’ve always had long hair though. I am seriously thinking about this, though. I love it and it’s really rare nowadays, so cool.

I’m having trouble finding a hair cutter who can cut this style. I have very fine, straight hair and this is a good cut for me. I’m in my 60’s and do not like the modern messy, jagged styles.
