Those with round faces should avoid very bold, short and brutal cuts. These kinds of haircuts, certainly do not compliment a round face. The aim of the short haircut should be that either you or your hairdresser chooses is to minimize the roundness of your face.

Short Layers Hairstyles: Having layers which are cut properly is essential for a short style on a round face. This is particularly important if you have curly hair. Having badly cut layers with curly hair will simply weigh down your hair. The last thing you want if you have a round face is to add fullness to the side of your head with your curls.

Short Chin Length Hairstyle: A short hairstyle that falls just below your chin is perfect for round faces as it will elongate your face. A cut which gives you wispy ends is more suitable and endearing for a round face than one with blunt end lengths. Blunt end lengths tend to widen the face, and are very unsuitable for round faces.
