I totally agree with everyone. I am in Iraq now and my hair is growing out, so it is getting really nappy. I came to this site to see if I could see some styles for natural(not permed) hair. Get some ideas that I could do on my own head. It would really be nice if this site posted more pics of natural hair styles. Thank you

I have been all over the internet looking for natural african hair styles. All there is are weaves and straight, processed hair. This is a sad state of affairs. Every "makeover" and advice about beauty for black women involves weaves, wigs or straightening our hair. Will it ever change??????

Where are the natural african american hair styles? Not via a weave or any other types of extensions. The natural curly hairs.

I TOTALLY agree with Miss Dee!! Where are the pictures of the 100% true deal BLACK women, not the bi-racial ladies or island mixed decent ladies. True 100% black women who have the kinky curly natural hair that's thick and requires extra care to wear? As someone else suggested, show us their pre-weave hair styles! These are absolutely beautiful black women but we all know it isn't the average look for the average black woman. In addition to these styles, please show some true natural (no relaxers, weaves or bi-racial hair types).

Hey-- I am bi-racial with very thick, fine african american hair. I have kept it in braided extensions for the past 2-3 years and only experimented with color and length. It has grown very long and I am in the process of un-braiding it now. I am hoping to find a new hair style and have to agree with many others above- These styles look like weaves or like styles I just cannot obtain on my hair type (other than the afro). I have grown out any dyes or chemicals so i have all new growth and I really love my hair... the thing is I know that in about 3 days from now I will be so frustrated with all this hair that I will be in tears. All I see is relaxed hair and weaves and since im 5 months pregnant I can't even relax and dont want to ruin my hair!!! Please help!!!
