I recommend african americans with soft hair(they do exist) not to get a perm since the texture can not handle such strong force.................bascially just wet your hair put some hair conditioner and let it be with a cut or something or blowdry/straighten it for special occasions if you want it to grow out since heat like that give split ends which leads to hair loss!
